Encountering the Mountain Gorilla Great Apes is on of the greatest Uganda safari moments. On this safari, you will go trekking the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This park is home to nearly half of the world’s total population and it is a world class tourist destination recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Gorilla trekking experiences rank as one of Africa’s best safari encounters and trekking through this misty forest is magical.

You will also explore the yellow-golden savannas of Queen Elizabeth national park on a wildlife game viewing Uganda safari, the park is a premier destination for game viewing wildlife safaris with the Mweya Peninsular and Katwe plains known for hosting a medley of wildlife while the assortment of habitats with idyllic craters and the tree climbing Lions of Ishasha sector offer a great scene of best photography safaris in Africa.


Note: On your day of arrival for this gorilla trekking and game viewing Uganda safari, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Day 01: Departure to Bwindi Impenetrable for Gorilla trekking [Approximately 8hours drive]

After breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, you will be picked by your Uganda safaris guide and transfer to Bwindi. You will break off twice; at the Equator-00 latitude for a simple water tryout, snapshots and souvenir shopping and also in Mbarara for lunch. Continue with the drive to Southwestern Uganda arriving in the evening in this beautiful part of the country where you will set your eyes on the pleasant Kigezi Highlands.

Meal Plan: Half Board [HB]. Overnight: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest lodge/ Bwindi lodge (Premium) or Buhoma lodge (Luxury) or Silverback lodge (Midrange) or Buhoma Community rest camp (Basic).

Day 02: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Begin your gorilla trekking day with an early breakfast at the lodge, transfer with packed lunch boxes to the registration area, here you receive briefing from the park ranger and at 0830 hours, enter the forested depths of Bwindi for Gorilla trekking. The forest is home to a number of wildlife species like birds, mammals and other primates that you may come across.

Trekking the Gorillas can last just a few hours or through the entire day depending on the location and movement of these great Apes; on locating them, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour in their presence. After the activity, retreat to the start point and drive off back to the lodge.

Day 03: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, signoff to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Continue Northwards of Bwindi through the striking terraced highlands of Kigezi, you will enter Queen Elizabeth through the Ishasha sector in the south of the park known for its resident tree climbing Lions. Drive through this sector for chances to see the kings of the savanna plains lying in tree branches keeping a close watch on their prey or as they plan their hunt on the ground. Later continue to the lodge, check-in and dinner will be here.

Meal Plan: Full Board [FB]: Overnight: Kyambura Gorge lodge (Premium) or Elephant Plains lodge (Luxury) or Buffalo lodge (Midrange) or Simba Safari Camp (Basic).

Day 04: Game drive and launch cruise

Break this Uganda safari day with breakfast, hit the savannas to lookout for mammals and other species frequenting the golden-yellow plains. Circuits through Kasenyi reward you with Buffalo herds, Warthogs, African Elephants, and Antelopes among others. These may be opportune moments to spot Lions plan their morning hunt, as early grazers come to feed on fresh grass. After lunch later in the afternoon, head for a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel jam-packed with wildlife especially Hippopotamus. Spot the game lingering along the shores.

Day 05: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe airport

Sign off this Bwindi gorilla trekking and game viewing Uganda safari with breakfast at the lodge, checkout in the midmorning hours and set-off for a drive back to Kampala. On arrival, you will either be dropped at the hotel or be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of Safari.
