Overview:

Uganda is not an ordinary safari destination, it offers complete African safari experiences, ranging from adventure safaris to the great wildlife safaris in its forest and savannah reserves/ national parks.

On this 7 days African wildlife and adventure safari in Uganda, you will visit Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of the country, where you will discover the big game roaming the savannah plains of the park, visit or hike to the dramatic falls where the Nile squeezes into a 7metre gorge and finally falling off 40m into the “Devils Cauldron”, it is [MFNP] the country’s biggest National Park and premier game viewing wildlife destination. You will also have an adventure palate in the eastern part of the country where you partake in rafting on the imposing Nile, Cruise to the source of the river as well as hiking the Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa and the Wagagai peak on Mount Elgon National Park.

Note: On the day of arrival for this wildlife and adventure Uganda safari, you will be warmly received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport, and he transfers you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Depending on time of arrival and how you would be feeling, you may do a Kampala city tour visiting sites like Mengo [Buganda] palace, and the East African crafts and Art Gallery for Souvenir shopping. Day 01: Transfer to Jinja (Approx.3 hours’ drive) and Cruise at the source of the Nile.

After breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, your Uganda safari guide will transfer you to the eastern part of the country in the direction of Jinja. You will break off en-route to visit the Ssezibwa falls, here partake in a short nature walk and then continue to Jinja where you will have lunch. Head to the booked lodge and in the evening, you will go for a cruise to the source of the majestic Nile.

Day 02: Uganda rafting adventure on the Nile.

After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to the starting point at the Nile for today’s rafting adventure Uganda experience on the majestic waters of this wonder river. Various grades of rapids are available for you depending on your skills, experience or interest. You may decide to do half or full day rafting. Return to the lodge for relaxation or you may decide to do sightseeing.

Day 03: Transfer to Kapchorwa (Approx. 2 hours’ drive) and hike to the Sipi falls.

Leave the accommodation after breakfast, and transfer, further eastwards of the country to Kapchorwa. Check-in at your accommodation for lunch, and later go for an adventurous hike to the magnificent Sipi falls where you will take-in the beautiful scenery of the Karamajong plains. Winding trails lead you via local communities, farm lands and forests then to the top of the falls, an area commanding stunning Kodak moments.

Day 04: Hiking the Wagagai volcano on Mount Elgon at 4321m.

Begin with an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters, where you meet with the ranger guide who will take you through the hiking ritual. Trails from one of the four trail heads will lead you to the summit, this is a full day Uganda hiking adventure safari experience and therefore you carry lunch boxes for a picnic lunch. It is an interesting challenge where you come across a number of features and creatures through the forest as you wind through the trails. Will you make it to the top of the world’s largest caldera? Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Full board [FB].

Day 05: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park [Approx. 7 hour drive].

Leave the lodge after an early breakfast, and transfer northwest wards of the country heading in the direction of Murchison Falls. You will have a lunch break en-route and later continue with this scenic drive to the park area and check-in at your accommodation for relaxation, it’s here dinner and overnight will be.

Meal Plan: Full board, Overnight: Nile Safari lodge (Premium) or Chobe safari lodge (Luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (Midrange) or Heritage lodge (Basic).

Day 06: Launch trip, top of the fall visit and Game drive.

Leave the lodge very early after breakfast and start off your Uganda wildlife safari experience with a one way launch cruise along the mighty Nile; upstream to the bottom of the falls. The trip will reward you with wildlife along the banks including reptiles, mammals and birds and finally culminate into the frontal display of the falls.

You will set out of the boat and partake in an adventurous hike all the way to the top of the falls where you will cool-off in the misty spray; these are memorable Kodak moments at the exploding falls and this is the highlight of the visit to the park. In the afternoon, you will do a game drive on the Northern bank spotting a number of savanna game.

Day 07: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport [Approx. 6 hour drive]

Begin with an early breakfast and leave the lodge, sign off with a game drive to catch the morning grazers and add on your game count on this safari. Leave the park later and drive off to Kampala. En-route break off for lunch in Masindi and continue to Kampala on ward to the airport for your flight.
